Product Description 39165R GBWCSL2-BX Garage Opener Wall Console

Backlight The indicator backlight will display red when the wall console is properly wired, and the Sure-Lock is OFF. When the Sure-Lock is ON, the indicator backlight will be OFF.

Independent Light Console Button Use this button to turn the powerhead lights ON. The powerhead lighting will remain ON until this button is pressed again or a door action has been completed. Note: If the opener has a Motion Detector, the sensor will keep the powerhead lights ON as long as motion is detected.

Sure-Lock Switch When the Sure-Lock is ON and the garage door is in the fully closed position, the powerhead cannot be activated by the wall console or a remote. Note: If the Sure-Lock is activated while the garage door is not fully closed, the door can still be operated until the door is in the fully closed position. • Slide the Sure-Lock Switch up to activate it. The backlight will be OFF. • Slide the Switch down to turn the Sure-Lock OFF. The backlight will be ON.

INSTALLING REPLACEMENT WALL CONSOLE • Disconnect power to the powerhead. • Remove the existing wall console from the wall by removing the mounting screws. • Remove the wires from the existing wall console. • Split and strip the ends of the wire if required (Fig. 2). • Fasten the wire to the control board screws on the back of the wall console (Fig. 3): • Connect the white wire between the powerhead terminal #3 and the wall console terminal "W." (Fig 3 & 7) • Connect the striped wire between the powerhead terminal #4 and the wall console terminal "B." (Fig 3 & 7) • Remount the wall console. • Route the wire from the wall console to the powerhead. • As you run the wire, securely fasten it to the ceiling and wall using insulated staples (Fig. 5). Not provided. Staples should be snug only. • Route the wire through the wire guide as shown in Fig. 6 to the terminals. • Split and strip the ends of the wire (Fig. 2). • Connect the white wire between the powerhead terminal #3 and the wall console terminal "W." (Fig 3 & 7) • Connect the striped wire between the powerhead terminal #4 and the wall console terminal "B." (Fig 3 & 7) • While pressing in the locking tab, insert the wire into the terminal hole and then release the locking tab. Confirm a secure connection with a gentle tug. (Fig. 7)

NOTE: When the existing wires have a color code different from above (FIG. 3), or none at all—make sure the wires are connected between the terminals as directed above. If the wires are connected to the opposite terminals, the Sure-Lock and Light feature may not function. The first indication of incorrect wiring is the backlight will be OFF.

• Mount the wall console to the wall using the screws provided. Verify the height is at least 5 ft. above the floor (Fig. 4). • Reconnect power to the powerhead. • Check the operation of each wall console button and feature.

NOTE: IF MOUNTING THE CONSOLE IN A NEW LOCATION, THAT LOCATION MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: • Within sight of the garage door, • At least 5 ft. above the floor (out of small children's reach), and • Away from all moving parts of the garage door.

NOTE: Make sure the wires are connected between the terminals as directed above. When the wires are connected to the opposite terminals, the Sure-Lock and Light feature may not function. The first indication of incorrect wiring is the backlight will be OFF.
